DUNMORE — A fire had burned inside the Holy Cross players after a second loss to Dunmore 23 days ago.
And when Louis Cipriano drilled his second straight 3-pointer in the first quarter, all of the Crusaders’ vent up frustration exploded, unleashing a near-perfect performance.
Needing a win, No. 4 Holy Cross snapped the third-ranked Bucks 12-game winning streak, 69-39, Friday night in a Lackawanna Division II boys basketball game.
“Right before the game, we recalled the last two games and we brought that feeling back, and channeled that to make it a positive,” Cipriano said. “We just came out firing on all cylinders.
“Defensively, offensively, taking it to the basket, everything was clicking.”
