If by Tuesday, just the second day of the work week, you’re already stressed out, mix a few cocktails with the soothing sounds of the Jazz Assassins for a truly relaxing good time. The Scranton-area duo will perform at The Bog at 10:30 p.m. Better yet, there’s no cover charge. Guitarist Vince Marrone and bassist Bob Wilson are the assassins. Honorary members are Steve Kurilla, Bob Ventrello, Jacob Cole and Lee Treat, drums; Dieter Winterle, saxophone; Matt Prestifilippo, keyboard; and Jason Smeltzer. The group performs standard instrumental jazz, pop tunes and funk. The group boasts having well over 100 songs in their stash, a collection large enough to please even the most discerning tastes.
